Kindergarten Financial Education Workshop

HKFWS has worked with local illustrators since 2019 to launch a number of financial education activities for kindergarteners, creating financial education picture books “Little Lights Growth. Series” and “Don’t let wallets escape” for K2-K3 students. We aim to bring financial education to families through the use of picture books and tools sets, such that students and parents can understand the impact of money on one’s confidence and relationships. The content of the story not only focuses on financial management skills but also allows readers to realize that our financial management behaviors and attitudes are shaped by our internal values and education. We hope that teachers and parents can grasp the valuable learning opportunities in a child’s early developmental stages and cultivate his/her financial management skills. 

Kindergartens that are interested can participate in one of the following ways: 

1. Approved financial social workers^{(Note 1)} come into the classroom to share stories in the picture books (Paid activity, recommend maximum 30 students per class). Each student will get a picture book (“Little Lights Growth. Series” / “Don’t let wallets escape”)  for free after sharing.  

 

2. Approved financial social workers^{(Note 1)}come into the classroom to lead the “Wallet Interactive Theater” workshop (Paid activity). Each student will get a set of “financial management learning tools” after the workshop. 

                

3. Financial Education Seminar for parents— “Nurturing Young Seedlings for Financial Management”. (Paid activity) 

 

4. Get two picture books for free ^{(Note 2)} and store them in the school’s or classroom’s library. (Schools should arrange their own transportation)
      

Note 1: Approved financial social workers hold a financial social worker certificate certified by the National Association of Social Workers in the United States 

Note 2: The wealth management picture book is designed by HKFWS’ financial management social workers
